水土不服 Unruly Clay 2.0

「水土不服 Unruly Clay 2.0」為陶藝聯展，於伊日後樂園 BACK_Y 一、二樓展出，由顏妤庭發起、與陳依秋共同策劃。

「水土不服」一詞除了指涉製陶過程中科學層面的物理性表徵，也同步包含人體心性中不服氣、不符合的意味。陶難以馴化的特性與不容易見頂的技術探尋，使創作者浸潤愈久，不舒適感與舒心感便同步增長。此展不單解析創作者面對陶的態度，也意欲從陶最終的樣子回推創作的過程，透過重新定義陶的失調狀態去真正認識陶。顏妤庭：「陶瓷媒材很有趣的一點是它會放大一個人的性格特質。」

首屆以「家具、家飾」為題，本屆則提出更開放的「空間」，參展者依循伊日後樂園場地的特殊結構與調性，共同搭建一場以陶介入空間的遊戲室。策展人形容：「與其說是策展，心態更像是邀請大家來參加一個遊戲。」

Unruly Clay 2.0 was a group ceramics exhibition on the first and second floors of BACK_Y, Taipei, initiated by Yen Yu-Ting and co-curated with Chen Yi-Chiu.

Beyond its literal sense of a physical maladjustment, the Chinese term shui-tu-bu-fu also carries the sense of being unconvinced, of not fitting in. Clay resists domestication, and its technical demands have no visible ceiling; the longer one works with it, the more discomfort and ease grow in parallel. The exhibition reads the artists' attitudes toward clay, and works backwards from the finished object to the process that made it. In Yen's words, "what is interesting about ceramics is that it amplifies a person's character."

Where the first edition took furniture and furnishings as its prompt, this edition proposed the more open theme of "space", with participants responding to the particular structure of BACK_Y to build a playroom in which ceramics intervene in the architecture. As the curators put it: "it's not just curation; it's an invitation to a game for everyone."
