無明 Realities of Ignorance
無明 Realities of Ignorance
“Ignorance” (avidyā), as expounded in the Heart Sutra, refers to human obsession with things in life, a source of mundane worries. This exhibition features three artists — Wang Yu-Hsuan, Sun Pei-Mao and Yen Yu-Ting — each of whom confronts his or her obsessive thoughts through artistic creation. Their approaches are fantastic, absurd, treacherous and unruly, intentionally interlacing exaggerated imagination with real life.
