殘章與斷片 Fragments and Remnants

顏妤庭的創作多以日常中擷取的新聞和熱門話題為藍本，透過繪畫重新轉化種種令人情緒跌宕起伏卻又過眼即忘的影像與文字，作為資訊爆炸時代中自身精神狀態的紀錄。延續 2018 年於韓國光州市立美術館駐村時的嘗試，她將新聞圖像與文字拆寫重組，以筆墨重複摹寫，使圖像隨時間與時事一同生長變化，發展出一種描述「記憶與精神狀態」的皴法。另一部分結合膠彩與水墨的作品，則將此皴法重新投放回水墨繪畫敘事性與繪畫性的拉扯之中。

Yen Yu-Ting takes news and trending topics gathered from daily life as her material, using painting to transform images and texts that stir strong feeling yet are forgotten at a glance — a record of her own mental state in an age of information overload. Continuing experiments begun during her 2018 residency at the Gwangju Museum of Art, she dismantles and recomposes news images and text through repeated transcription in ink, developing a cunfa (texture stroke) that describes “memory and states of mind.”
